Students also have significant opportunities to engage with various other faculty in the behavioral and biomedical sciences at UIC. Useful academic success skills. Students are linked with UIC peer mentors currently enrolled in his or her baccalaureate program of interest to help as the student fulfills his or her general education and prerequisite work in preparation for matriculation to UIC. Students also are encouraged to attend local conferences and receive financial support to attend relevant workshops. ELIGIBILITYApplicants must be full- time, second- year underrepresented minority students currently enrolled at either the City Colleges of Chicago or South Suburban College in Illinois. Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents from underrepresented minority groups (Black African- Americans, Chicano/Latino Americans, Native Americans, and Natives of the U. S.
